| 4 Fundamentals of Human Body |
Last Update: May 30, 2004
Jang and Bu
Jang and Bu are the organs of the body. And understanding them precedes the understanding of above mentioned Physiology and Pathology. The concept of organs in Korean Medicine differs a lot from that of Western Medicine. It differs so much that some organs that exist in KM do not do so in Western Medicine and vice versa. This article will give you insight on KM's view on the organs.
|
| Bodily Fluids
Simply put, this article deals with the liquid component of the body. Such a concept does exist in Western Medicine, but as in Jang and Bu, that of KM differs a lot from that of Western Medicine. This article will introduce you to the subject.
|
| Physiology
Physiology, the study of how the body works. This is the main subject of our 8th news letter and you have come a long way to reach it. If you have read the above two articles, understanding Physiology as in KM would be relatively easy. However, even if you have not read the above two articles, you can understand the concept if you read carefully. Proceed to find out how KM deals with Physiology.
|
| Pathomechanism
Pathomechanism might sound like a big word. However, it will not be that hard a concept to grasp once you have read this article. Pathomecanism is 'mechanism of Pathology'. And Pathology deals with how diseases affect the human body and how it works. In this article, you will find more than just Pathology, however, as nothing is independent in KM; every single concept is intertwined and nothing can be explained just on its own.
